good, gooder, goodest?!

gave my 8 year old niece tuition last night. i was teaching her grammar about comparatives and superlatives. to start of, i gave her the most basics. high, low, dark, etc etc. it was a good start. she knws them.... high, higher, highest, low, lower, lowest, dark darker darkest, etc, etcer, etcest ...

then i start giving her the ones you have to change or add words like, more, most or change the whole root word. i gave her, (as expected by the title) good, bad, handsome, etc. and she gave me answers like good, gooder, goodest, bad, badder, baddest....i almost peng!
but thankfully no handsome, handsomer and handsomest...

i told her it was wrong...and she answered me, insisting i was wrong and she was right. i told her it was wrong again. she said it's impossible, because she was taught good, gooder, goodest.....i told her "little girls shouldnt lie"(how aunty-ish of me). she then flipped out a page from her school's exercise book showing me exercises that her teacher gave her. they were also learning comparatives and superlatives....and sure enough, good, gooder, goodest, bad, badder, baddest were in here!
and the teacher actually ticked it! she marked it as correct!

OH MY GOSH! what are you teachers teaching your students?! words like good, gooder, goodest, bad, badder, baddest doesnt even exist! wow, i guess that teacher that taught my niece really needs to go for English tuition....i had trouble explaining to my niece why it's wrong. you know little children. so innocent. believes everything the teacher says is right. so i cant really blame my niece....

Due to strong wind few days ago, a few trees right in front of my house were uprooted.... THANK GOD it didnt tumble on the houses but the the opposite direction. HALLELUJAH! for those who've been to my house, u knw la hor, how near the trees are to my house. and it only takes 5 steps to reach the park.....lol..

recently i celebrated my daddy's b'day. we went for dinner at All Delight @ hui sing.
there was a COCKROACH in one of our dishes!!! the horror the horrorrrrrrr!!! rant rant rant!
unfortunately i forgot to take a picture of it. trust me people, DONT ever ever ever ever go to All Delight. would you wanna suffer food poisoning?! All Delight is NO delight!
